What NOT to do before a boudoir session!

So while we have a full prep and welcome guide that we send with a ton of great info… I wanted to share a few do’s and don’ts with you .

You already know the day of your session is all about you and we recommend you think of it as a day to be pampered. BUT we also recommend you take the week too…

Get your hair done, your nails too

—- and be sure to take extra good care of your skin the week leading up. If you wax we recommend doing that 3 to 5 days prior to your shoot to help fade any redness that occurs.

Now for the don’ts…

Please do not go get a spray tan!

—Your natural look is always best. Orange is not an easy thing for us to fix and if extra editing is required because of it there will be a charge.

Do NOT go on some crash diet!

—I want you to relish in your beauty and celebrate your true self. We also don’t need you passing out during your shoot if you end up starving yourself. Cause honestly nothing is going to make a huge difference that fast.

On that note, don’t start working out 7 times a week.

—I’ll work with everything to make sure you look your absolute best. From lighting to posing and angles I’m here to show off how beautiful and stunning you are and accentuate those gorgeous curves. I’ll mention again we don’t want you passing out during the shoot, and it is pretty strenuous :)

I know from experience this needs to be in the do’s and the don’ts as a reminder…

Don’t get waxed the day before!

—If you normally wax, go ahead ( 3 to 5 days prior) However, if you don’t then don’t start now! We don’t want you to have some bad reaction and have redness or other issues during your session.

Don’t overlook even minor facial hair.

—If you tweese your brows be sure to do it before your session. Following above steps too. Be sure to pay attention to your upper lip to ( I know, I know, we hate to admit it but come on!) There will be close up photos and you don’t want any visible peach fuzz!

Don’t neglect your nails either.

—Be sure to get them done before your session as well. Typically this is better a day or so beforehand to make sure they are looking their best. You hands will be in MOST photos so you won’t regret this one.
